I woke up this morning to quite a wet and miserable day, and I realised the summer wardrobe may have to be put to bed. We are now heading into Autumn/Winter 2010/11, weather wise I'm not looking forward to it, rain, sleet and snow. But I do enjoy the fact that you get to reinvent yourself through clothes and we have a whole new range of ideas, trends and designs to feast our eyes on.
So all the shops and magazines have followed suit with the weather and changed it up a bit. WINTER/AUTUMN 2010/11 IS HERE.
So mums what do we need to know for this coming season.
To my delight 50's style is in, his means yyyyeeeaaahhhh!!!!! curves are in. Brilliant. So for those of you who have just had a recent bundle of joy and are worrying about that extra baby weight its okay.
For those of you who are like me and like to have winter favourites of things like Shepard's pie, casseroles and pies which are unforgiving to my hips and stomach. Then its okay,
SO THIS IS THE SEASON FOR US LADIES.
So what can we expect to see in the shops this Autumn
1. The 50's saw women adopted a dresses with a narrow waistline and wide skirts which made women look very femine. This is great for all you hour shape ladies. This is going to be your time to shine.
2. Animal prints are in, which I don't mind really and can be great as long as they are worn correctly (but I'm here to help with that).
3. Colours, this autumn/winter they haven't gone away with the sun. Orange, petrol blue, purple, greens and red are all colours we can get our teeth into this season. Their is something for everyone.
4. Leather, its sexy and its in this season. A pair of lovely leather boots and you will be bang on trend. Now how easy was that!
5. Trouser are making a come back, not just because its winter and its cold outside, but because its going to be fashionable to. So for those of you who like to cover up your legs its a win win situation. So as the 50's and 60's silhouettes came a come back with knee length dresses and skirts. Tailoring is a must this Autumn, high waisted trousers are back!!!!
